Our Firm

David R. Morrison

David R. Morrison is president of Elder Law Associates of Pennsylvania, with 30 years of experience in the practice of civil law. The University of Pittsburgh School of Law awarded him a full scholarship.

Mr. Morrison has taught advanced taxation at Elizabethtown College, and has also taught at Franklin & Marshall College. Frequently lecturing on wills, trusts, and pre-retirement planning, Attorney Morrison speaks to senior groups throughout the Lancaster County area. He is a regular lecturer to the nursing homes administrators of Pennsylvania, and has visited every nursing home in Lancaster County.

In 1991, Elder Law Associates of Pennsylvania became the first elder law firm in Pennsylvania.

He joined (shortly after its founding) the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is a member of he Fiduciary Services for Aged and Infirm Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Elderly Services Committee of the Lancaster County Bar Association. He is co-author of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s Advanced Health Care Directives & Limited Guardianships. He is the trustee of the Lampeter Green Burial Grounds in Bird-in-Hand, which is also an Underground Railroad site.

He is married to Marilyn Morrison. they have three sons, all of who are Eagle Scouts. (For pictures, click here.)

Cathy M. Montague

Cathy is our Estates Administrative Assistant. She handles our word processing and other computer work, as well as settlement of estates, and bookkeeping. Cathy has been with us over 32 years.

She resides in Lancaster with her Husband, Scott. Cathy has three married children and 5 grandchildren.

Sue Hershey

Sue is our Medicaid Administrative Assistant. She will work with you directly from your initial meeting with us, through the spend-down period, to preparing for the application for Medical Assistance for your loved one. Sue resides in Landisville with her husband, Paul.

Jocelyn Darrenkamp

Joyce is our file manager. Joyce also handles incoming telephone calls, scheduling, and ordering supplies. She came to work hereafter retiring from her career as a Bell telephone operator andassignment clerk for special circuits. She resides in Lancaster with her husband, John.
